It all started in the 1980s when John and Sally Ware took their children, Brian and Jennifer, to experience Autumn Aloft, Park City’s premier hot-air balloon festival. Like so many who see a balloon rise gracefully into the morning sky for the first time, they were instantly captivated by the beauty, adventure, and sense of wonder that ballooning creates.

Before long, the Ware family was spending weekends helping friends crew their balloon, learning the ropes and becoming part of the ballooning community. Then came the moment that changed everything—John arrived home with a used hot-air balloon of his own. From that day forward, ballooning became more than a hobby; it became a family tradition.

Decades later, the Ware family is still sharing their passion for flight, creating unforgettable memories and introducing new generations to the magic of ballooning.
